BF 280 Box Filler

PRODUCT-FRIENDLY TECHNOLOGY COMBINED
WITH THE BOXMASTER CRATE-STACKING SYSTEM

The BF 280 Box Filler was designed to meet the demand for a system of packing crates in an e cient and product-friendly way without damaging the product; after all, much damage occurs when the products are moved into storage too quickly and dropped from large heights. The Mechatec Dynamic Flow Control system ensures a product-friendly product flow. Filling the crates, combined with the Boxmaster stacking and unstacking system, guarantees a rapid, safe and e cient working method.

TECHNOLOGY FOR THE FUTURE

The BF 280 Box Filler is an extremely accurate and productfriendly machine that will relieve you of much of the work during the harvesting season. The filler packs the products in the crate, layer by layer, to distribute them perfectly evenly and without forming cone-shaped piles. The product on the line, on leaving the supply line or coming in from one side, drops onto the fi ller, after which the Dynamic Flow Control automatically sets the vertical belt to an optimal packing factor, which will depend on the volume or weight you want. Damage to the product is reduced to a minimum due to the large volume of the product flow – which is never more than 280 m3 per hour – and the excellent packing factor.

CRATES ARE FILLED EVENLY

The adjustable fingers, which can be positioned at various heights, mean that the products, in the transition from horizontal to vertical, are laid more to the left and the right than in the centre,
producing a crate that is evenly and well-filled, well into the corners, without the need of shaking.

PRODUCTS ARE DRIED PERFECTLY

Because the product is laid in broad and even layers in the crate, the drying process is guaranteed to be free of air leaks, even if the crates are stored for a long time. After all, the entire top layer, including the corners, is neatly packed, which is also due to position of the adjustable fi ngers, which you can infl uence. Even shallots, onions and flower bulbs are guided perfectly until they are laid in the crate.

SHAKING SYSTEM

When packing crates with a product that is thoroughly dry, you have the option of shaking the crate layer by layer, which means you can store between 10 and 15 % more in your crates.
The shaking system can be set to di erent strengths and times, even by layer if you like, so you can pack products such as Belgian endive ready for air-tight storage.

WEIGHING AND COUNTING

The crate weight is automatically set to 0 when the empty crate is placed in the correct position and after packing the weight is added to a daily/total weight count. The daily counter for the crates and the total counter for the weight can be set manually to 0, which means that you know exactly how much gross weight you have stored in the crates. The counting and registration system can be linked to your operational system to give you more insight into your logistics process. A tag (chip) writing/reading sensor can be integrated into the software too. Please get in touch to fi nd out more about the options.

THE BOXMASTER CRATE-STACKING SYSTEM

The Boxmaster system, the crate-stackers, allows you the flexibility to process your quantities of crates with ease and using reliable processes. The powerful, sturdy stackers o er you the option of using them with the fi ller, with the washer or with the crate emptier. The solid construction of the lifting beams that lift the crates create a certain and reliable situation that guarantees the safety in all circumstances. The long lever arms also ensure that the support under the crate is more than su cient so that the lower shelves do not break.

MORE WORK CAN BE DONE WITH LESS MANPOWER

Because BF 280, combined with the Boxmaster, works efficiently and has a large capacity, you can get as much as possible from it because you can save on manpower, the costs of forklift trucks and transport equipment.

The Boxmaster system for stacking and unstacking can be used with the BT crate emptier and the Boxer crate washer/emptier as well as the box packer, so you always get the yield you want, all
